Exceeding Expectations

Capital Campaign to Fund a Bright Horizon

Exceeding Expectations. It's what The Museum School, its students and its founders have always done, and our new capiital campaign continues this tradition. Over the next five years, we will raise $3 million to pay for the renovation of the school's permanent facility on Forrest Boulevard.

You can make an important difference in supporting a fantastic school with a growing reputation for excellence and innovation. We have a historic opportunity to create a permanent home for the school and a lasting legacy for our children and future generations. Please join us in this exciting new adventure!

Three Reasons to Give

1. Corporations and foundations look for 100% board and parent participation as they consider grants to the school. Being able to demonstrate strong community support of our school helps to secure other gifts.

2. Donating is a responsible investment in  a solid organization and is completely tax deductible.

3. Our capital campaign allows you to take part in building something exceptional.

Get to Know The Museum School

In less than two years, The Museum School of Avondale Estates has shown what an innovative education model and tremendous community involvement can accomplish. Our students are among the top 4% in the state in every subject, and in science, they rank #1 among 1,200 elementary schools in Georgia.

Founded on the science that children learn best through personal exploration, ours is the first school in Georgia to employ the museum model of education, providing students with the opportunity and know-how to ask questions and make discoveries.

In-class and Interactive

Hi-Tech Donation Allows for Virtual Expeditions

Our Explorers now can take virtual expeditions around the world to places like NASA, the Sistine Chapel and the Great Wall of China, thanks to the recent donation of ActivBoards, handheld ActiveExpression devices and an ActiveSlate by global education company Promethean.

Promethean products are used in more than 750,000 classrooms around the world. Company representatives visited The Museum School this month to donate and demonstrate the technology.

The equipment allows students to engage in collaborative learning activities; they can provide immediate responses to questions or give feedback directly to the large in-class ActivBoard, and teachers are able to assess student comprehension immediately.

The Museum School is very grateful to Promethean for the generous donation of equipment!
