Open enrollment for the attendance zone
Student applications must be completed and either mailed to or dropped off at the school at 923 Forrest Blvd., Decatur, GA 30030. Applications must be accompanied by a state-certified copy of the child’s birth certificate, a copy of the child's social security card, a copy of parent's photo ID and two documents proving residency within the attendance zone. Proof of residency may be established with a lease, deed or mortgage; one of these documents must accompany the application. In addition, a second document proving residency must accompany the application; this can include a current utility statement, such as electric, water or gas. In the event of co-residency, an affidavit of residency must be completed as required by the parent(s) / legal guardian(s) and homeowner/lessee and submitted to the school, with all requested documentation attached.

Public Lottery
If The Museum School receives more student applications than available spots for any grade level or program, the school will conduct a public lottery using a random selection process. Admission notification
The Museum School will provide official notification of admission offers. Admission is based solely on residency and age requirements.

Notify school of intent to register
Families of students receiving admission offers have 15 days from the lottery date to (1) notify the school of their intent to enroll the child and (2) submit supporting documentation. Should a student or family decline admission or fail to respond within 15 days, that student will be removed from the roster and the slot will be offered to the first student of that grade level on the wait list.
