Additionally, we are accepting nominations for additional members to join the Board of Directors. Specifically, we are seeking corporate and community leaders to fulfill the following role:
Development: The primary responsibility is to lead the Development Committee in the planning and execution of major fundraising initiatives for the school, including the establishment of a fundraising foundation, completion of the $400,000 Open the Doors campaign, and leading a capital campaign to fund the procurement and development of our permanent facility.
Desired Qualifications:
• Strong project management skills
• Experience in fundraising
• Nonprofit experience
The Board of Directors position is an unpaid one. A successful candidate will be selected based on (in part) their financial and business acumen, their ability to fundraise and develop strategic partnerships and their demonstration of the skills needed to convey ideas to numerous audiences. You do not need to be a parent or live in The Museum School's attendance zone to be considered. All Board members are expected to provide a personally meaningful financial contribution to the organization.
